1. Scope of This Policy
This Refund Policy governs refunds for platform subscription feespaid by academy operators ("Operators") to Pedagio for access to the pedagio.appplatform. It does not govern payments made by students to Operators for courses or tuition fees — those are subject to each Operator's own refund policy and are a matter between the student and the Operator.
2. Free Trial
Pedagio offers a free trial period that does not require a credit card or upfront payment. During the trial you can explore all platform features at no cost. Since no charge is made during the trial, no refund applies.
3. Refund Eligibility — Platform Subscriptions
3.1 Monthly plans
If you upgrade to a paid monthly plan, you are eligible for a full refund if you request it within 7 calendar days of the first charge. Requests made after this window are not eligible for a refund, and the subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
3.2 Annual plans
If you subscribe to an annual plan, you are eligible for a full refund if you request it within 7 calendar days of the first charge. After 7 days, we offer a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of the annual term, provided:
- The request is made within 30 days of the original charge date.
- The account has not violated our Terms of Service.
- The platform has been used normally (not for bulk data download or abuse).
Requests made after 30 days are not eligible for a refund.
3.3 Renewal charges
For subscription renewals (monthly or annual), you may request a refund within 3 calendar days of the renewal charge if you did not intend to renew and have not used the platform during that renewal period.
3.4 Add-ons
Charges for paid add-ons (e.g., additional storage, extra SMS credits, white-label branding packs) are non-refundable once activated, as these are consumed services.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- The 7-day (or 30-day for annual pro-rata) eligibility window has passed.
- The account has been suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service.
- The refund request is for a promotional or discounted plan (unless otherwise stated in the promotion terms).
- Partial-month usage — we do not prorate monthly plan charges for mid-cycle cancellations.
- Disruptions caused by third-party services (payment gateways, video providers, SMS carriers) beyond our control.
5. Service Outages and Platform Failures
In the event of a significant and prolonged platform outage (more than 24 consecutive hours) caused by Pedagio, we will credit your account a proportional amount of your monthly subscription fee for the affected downtime period. We will not issue cash refunds for outages unless the outage exceeds 72 continuous hours within a single billing month.
6. Student Fees Collected via the Platform
Payments collected by Operators from their students (course fees, tuition fees, batch fees) are transactions between the student and the Operator. Pedagio is a technology platform facilitating these transactions, not a party to them. Student refund requests must be directed to the respective Operator. Pedagio has no obligation to refund student fees on behalf of Operators.
Operators are responsible for clearly communicating their own student refund policies and for processing student refunds in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for your Pedagio subscription:
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request — [Your Academy Name]".
- Include your registered email address, account name, and the reason for your refund request.
- Our team will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and process eligible refunds within 5–7 business days.
Refunds are credited to the original payment method. Bank processing times may add an additional 3–5 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically trigger a refund. Your access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. After the period ends, your account will revert to the free plan (if available) or be deactivated.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
